So it’s been a while since I’ve touched this blog, and pure and simple, I wonder if the reason is that I don’t trust myself because I want to write stuff that is likely to stir some things up. The self-mistrust sure reasonated fast and quick when I read today’s email from the Domino Project, about the #Trust30 Writing Project. In their words, it’s an “online initiative and 30-day writing challenge that encourages you to look within and trust yourself. It’s an opportunity to reflect on your now and create direction for your future.”
That piqued my interest, and then they went ahead and threw Ralph Waldo Emerson’s name into the mix, which pretty much sealed the deal for me. The project is based on a reprinting of Emerson’s essay, “Self-Reliance.” I’ve never read it but that’s another goal for this upcoming month.
I’m committed to this season of writing and reflecting on my direction. But here I’ve gone and blown my whole wad of free time tonight just rewriting the About Me section. So please read it.
An Irish girl blessing for you on this last day of May: May we learn what it means to trust ourselves during these next 30 days.
